Getting started
Set up your digital khata in a few minutes
No training and no complicated setup. Install the app, sign in, add a party and record your first entry.

Step 1: Download MobiKhata
Install MobiKhata free from Google Play on Android or the App Store on iPhone. On a computer, open the web app at web.mobikhata.com.

Step 2: Sign in to your account
Sign in with Google, Apple or email. Your ledger is linked to this account, so it is backed up and you can sign in on another device later.

Step 3: Create your business
Enter your business name and choose its currency from more than 120 options. You can add more businesses later and switch between them.
Each business has its own currency -
Step 4: Add a party
Add a customer or supplier with their name and, if you like, a phone number. If you allow contacts access, MobiKhata suggests names as you type.

Step 5: Record Cash In and Cash Out
Open the party and tap Cash Out when you give goods or money on credit, or Cash In when you receive a payment. Add a note or change the date if needed. The balance updates instantly.
Use the calculator in the amount field -
Step 6: Track, report and share
Your home screen shows To Receive and To Pay totals. Open Reports for summaries and trends, export a PDF statement, or send a reminder by SMS or WhatsApp.
